List Of Thirty Things

30 things before I am 30... This notion was presented to me by the girl that writes this blog. She made a list of things she has done, a sort of reverse bucket list. What a cool idea, huh? I enjoyed the post so much that I decided I wanted to make a list too. However, my list is a bit different than her's. Here is my impromptu list of things I want to list in a list:

1. My wife is better than your wife, girlfriend, or dream-woman.

2. My kids are really cool people. Even at 7, 8, & 10, I admire them.

3. Grappling is my sport.

4. Getting older sucks not because I fear the future, but because I am leaving so much undone
in the past.

5. Love knows no boundaries except those you impose upon it.

6. I wish I was a better caveman (husband, daddy, friend, etc).

7. Relationships mean everything.

8. We really can't take it with us. But I still recommend striving to accomplish like we can.

9. Just because you sought first to understand, does not mean you will ever be understood.

10. I wish I could inspire others like Lisa does.

11. I wish I was as in tune to others as Kotah is. Wish I had his work ethic and confidence too.

12. I wish I was as amicable and positive as Titus. Wish I could hug others as well as he does
too.

13. I wish I was as morally conscience as Cameron. Wish I was as determined as he is too.

14. I want another tattoo. But wish I could get one with as much reckless abandon as a tattoo deserves.

15. Truck fever is a lifelong disease that apparently has no cure.

16. I have had every toy a man could dream of. Except a boat.

17. The idea of saving for retirement, doesn't come from the bible.

18. Physical ability means little in life.

19. Appreciating the changes in the trees on your morning commute means much in life.

20. Part of me wishes I had written down all the crazy things I did when I was a kid. The other
part of me really hopes nobody else wrote down any of the crazy things I did as a kid.

21. I wish I could hear God laugh.

22. All skills are perishable.

23. Technology amazes me.

24. Sometimes the people we admire most are very unhappy with their lives.

25. I wish I could grow hair.

26. It doesn't bother me that I am losing my eyesight.

27. I can't picture a single thing I would want to do without my wife within arms reach.

28. All great guitars are made in Japan.

29. I like being tall and I love my wife being small.

30. Before I am 30 I want to look in in the mirror and like what I see.
