There is an article floating around the www where husbands answer questions about their blogger wives, and I wanted to participate. Below is my entry:
What are your thoughts about blogs + blogging?
I love blogging. It is the perfect platform for people to express themselves in today's modern / unique world. For women, blogging is the perfect way to share and receive all things "women". Blogs are "safe" from the worlds intrusions that are so prevalent on most of the web. And the ability so share what your soul looks like, to kindred spirits that you would not have otherwise ever been able to meet, is invaluable.
How many hours a day does your wife spend blogging?
On average, my wife blogs for between 30 minutes and an hour each day.
What do you do during this time?
When my wife blogs, I sit within arms reach and play guitar.
Any silly/crazy/funny stories or experiences related to blogging you'd like to share with the readers:
Sometimes the comments on my wife's blog brings me to tears. Does that count? The craziest things for me is finding my wife's pictures / ideas / writings all over the internet. On accident. Sometimes this can be frustrating because she is not always credited for what is hers. (She once had a very unique party copied, and I mean decorations, food, games, everything, and the author completely presented it all as her idea.) But overall, it is very flattering to see the life our family lives is put on a pedestal by others.
How do you feel being blogged about?
Being blogged about is surreal. Especially when dozens of people comment on how dreamy our family's life is.
What is one thing that annoys you most about having a blogger wife?
The thing that annoys me most about having a blogger wife is convincing my wife not to feel guilty about doing it. She is the most talented blogger on the internet, and she doesn't put the time into it that others do. If she could see what a valuable thing her blog is to thousands of other people, and dedicate herself to adding to that value, I think we would all be amazed at how many lives could be touched.
This was fun Chris! What a cool surprise for me to read. <3 I seriously KNOW that I have the most supportive husband I could ever ask for. You mean everything to me. Thank you.
